In the past whenever I had gone through a particular season, read something interesting in the bible, or just had a personal revelation from God, I would always write about it. It was a way for me to remember what God had taught me. For a while now, I’ve felt like I should share these with those around me. As a way to encourage people on their walk with Christ. So, I present to you, “A Christian Perspective”. Here, I share with you personal testimonies, biblical teachings and my views on societal topics...

Friendish by Kelly Needham…

is much better than I expected it to be. As I read the first chapter of the book I have to admit, I wasn’t drawn in straight away, but as I kept reading my apprehension soon faded.

Many of us don’t stop to think about our friendships. We know that Christian friendships are essential and play an important role in our lives, but we rarely think about whether we are good friends, if our relationships are healthy and what to do when we face hardships and disappointments.

Before we met with Christ, I’m sure a lot of us had close friendships in the world but, the issue is, we’ve brought our worldly habits and views on friendship into the house of God.

As believers, our relationships should be reflective of the way Jesus loves. They should be much more secure, stable and most importantly based on biblical grounds.

This book truly challenged the way I look at friendships, and even made me question how much of a good friend I was. I encourage you to give it a read!

“When Jesus is my stability, my significance, my closest companion, I am freed to truly love others and love them sacrificially.”
